Step Into the Story: Casting Supporting Roles and Extras for Alien Echo
Are you ready to bring compelling characters to life in a gripping short sci-fi drama? Alien Echo is casting unpaid supporting roles, day-players, and extras for shoot dates this September in Mandurah.
Each role will be needed for just one day, with shoot times capped to respect your schedule:
Saturday 6 September (up to 8 hours)
Sunday 14 September (up to 4 hours)
Saturday 20 September (up to 8 hours)
Roles we’re casting:
Young Lola (8 years old): Bright-eyed, curious, imaginative — a strong-willed child yearning for connection and love.
Young Mum (mid 30s): Protective and fiercely loyal, quietly managing chaos and holding onto hope amid hardship.
Father (mid 30s): Charismatic but volatile, battling addiction, emotionally inconsistent, deeply flawed yet trying his best.
Becky (late 20s): Fit, emotionally intelligent, grounded, quietly strong — someone who sees beneath the surface.
Drunk 1 & Drunk 2 (middle aged men): Nasty, condescending, violent characters to bring tension to the story.
Extras: Background roles for scenes in a pub where our protagonist is drinking.
While these roles are unpaid, you’ll be welcomed on set with food, tea, coffee, and snacks. We pride ourselves on a professional, punctual shoot experience. You’ll also receive IMDB credit, a copy of the finished film, and an invite to our red carpet premiere and festival screenings — a fantastic opportunity to build your reel and be part of a meaningful story.
