Alien Echo (2026) is a short science fiction and drama film written and directed by Mark Regan.
Synopsis:
Alien Echo is a science fiction drama that follows Lola, a brilliant but troubled scientist driven to capture an elusive alien signal while battling addiction and the emotional scars of her past. As her work begins to unravel, fragmented memories of her childhood reveal a complex relationship with her father, whose influence continues to shape her self destructive behaviour. When Lola uncovers the truth behind his legacy, she is forced to confront the patterns she has inherited and the life she is repeating. In a moment of clarity, she must decide whether to remain trapped in the echoes of her past or forge a new path forward.

Production: September and October 2025.
Postproduction: December 2025 - 12 April 2026.
