How to recharge creative energy as a Filmmaker and avoid burnout

After a mammoth day in the edit suite yesterday and a rough night where one of the kids was a bit unwell and sleep was a little broken, I was feeling a bit crummy.

Still, I was thinking I would get back into the Alien Echo edit, even with that feeling of frustration and being a bit stuck.

My wife suggested a nice walk along the beach and that really is my solace at all times. The beach is the place I go to reset. I do this every now and then and it just reminds you, once you actually do it, how good it is for you.

So I hit the beach and I am going to hit the swim and just recharge those creative batteries.

I feel like a different creative director right now after the hike.

I might get back into the edit this afternoon, but either way it is a way of recharging your creative batteries.

Make sure you recharge yours.

Get back to your projects with more energy and more fun, because I think we need a lot more of that in the creative process.
